NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE. The 1st Dumaguete Triathlon is organized by the Local Government Unit of Dumaguete and the Triathletes of Oriental Negros (TriONe), in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Bacong. We notify the public of the scheduled road closure on SUNDAY, November 18 from 6:30AM-9:30AM (full road closure) and 9:30AM-12:00nn (partial road closure) of the BIKE and RUN routes illustrated below.
We ask for our community’s cooperation to clear the roads and sidewalks of vehicles, and to keep pets indoors or leashed at these times to facilitate clear passage and safety of the 400 triathletes participating in the race. The Traffic Management Unit, Phil. National Police Dumaguete & Bacong, Barangay Tanods and Emergency Medical Response Teams will be positioned at key areas on the day of the event. Door-to-door information drive for commercial establishments and residences is being conducted by the Sangguniang Kabataan Dumaguete. Bus and trucking companies have been notified last October.
